With more than eight years of experience in FPGAs and embedded systems, Hugh Breslin serves as a Subject Matter Expert in the FPGA business unit of Microchip Technology, focusing on system-on-a-chip (SoC) design and hardware-software co-design. He began his career in 32-bit RISC-V CPU design before moving on to join development and enablement of Linux on the first commercially available RISC-V SoC FPGA. His deep background in both hardware and software gives him a full-stack understanding of embedded systems, making him a seasoned voice on the convergence of hardware, bare metal, RTOS and OS solutions.
