Joffrey Lauthier specializes in go-to-market strategies for new products and services in the rail sector. Based in Silicon Valley, he leads TÜV Rheinland’s rail safety consulting practice for North America and assists transit agencies in procuring train control systems and vehicle automation technologies.
Joffrey advocates for collision avoidance systems on light rail vehicles through the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) Streetcar Subcommittee. He is a member of the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Standing Committee on Rail Operations, Power, and Safety Systems and Technology, and serves on the Transit Cooperative Research Program (TCRP) project synthesis panel on measuring and mitigating risk in transit automation.
